SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for over 130 SOS Children’s Villages associations worldwide. SOS Children’s Villages Liberia is a member association of SOS Children’s Villages International. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education and health. The organisation has a wide range of programmes in Monrovia and Grand Bassa County which include children’s villages, a youth facility, kindergartens and schools, a Medical Center and family strengthening programmes. Due to anticipated establishment of Maternity Unit in her Medical Center, SOS Children’s Villages Liberia is looking for qualified Liberians to fill the following positions in her various Programs:




Nurse Anaesthetist



Scrub Nurses






Lab technicians



Nurse Aides


Location: Based in the SOS Children’s Village Programs in Monrovia but may require travelling to her other Program place in Juah Town, Grand Bassa County.

1) Nurse Anaesthetist


  • Must possess a Diploma/BSN and licensed as a RN
  • 2-3 years of nurse anaesthesia school
  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Nurse Anaesthetist
  • Must be licensed to practice

2). Scrub Nurse


  • Education: Graduate from accredited school of nursing
  • Acute hospital experience and related certification are added advantage
  • Possess a Current Registered Nurse License
  • Proven experience and or knowledge of child rights and protection with national regulations relating to children and patients rights
  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Scrub Nurse
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to tactfully deal with physicians, visitors, family members, patients, and other institution personnel
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to organize for more effectiveness
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work fast
  • Ability to manage crises and emergency.

3) Midwives

Diploma in Midwifery from reputable institution with a current license At least three (3) years of practicing midwifery

Good practical experience in maternal-child health care

Skills on basic and comprehensive emergency obstetrics and newborn care

Knowledge of ICT (e-mail, internet and other related software) and computer applications (e.g Ms Word, Excel etc )

4)Laboratory Technicians


  • A degree/diploma in Laboratory Science and / or relevant subject area
  • At least 3 years’ experience in laboratory sciences / diagnostics, reagents, general lab works, etc.
  • Proven experience and or knowledge of child rights and protection with national regulations relating to children and patients rights
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English Language
  • Exceptional leadership in time management, communication and listening skills, following instruction and at times under pressure
  • Good ITC/computer skills for communication, reporting, managing information and documentation\

5) . Nurse Aide :


A competent, trained and qualified Nurse Assistant with at least 2 years relevant or hands on experience preferably in a Maternity Unit.

She /he must always maintains updated professional development to practice in relevant capacity She / He must be computer literate.

She /He must be capable of running a clinical routine with a high standard of efficiency, professionalism & hygiene.
